Just like it says on the tin. Portswood Rec is a place for everyone, and this summer sees the launch of a series of activity mornings especially for kids. They're fun and they're free!

First Saturdays of the month: 7 June, 5 July and 2 August, 10.30-12.30. Drop in at any time for a range of nature-themed activities.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

01 Jun 25 - Southampton National Park City - final day for Urban Wild

Come and find us on the Common, as part of the final day's celebrations. We're adjacent to the small marquee from around 11 till 4. Hope to see you there!

27 May 25 - Wild Wonders - Bees, Bugs and Beasties

Urban Wild is a City-wide festival celebrating local wild places and the connection, creativity, and community that surrounds them. The festival invites everyone to explore the city’s green and blue spaces through a wonderously wide range of activities through the week, including our own Wild Wonders - Bees Bugs and Beasties session.

Come and join us at any time between 10.30-12.30 on Tuesday 27 May to enjoy:

Bug hunt
Seed planting
Nature and Pollinator trail and quiz
Bug hotel replenishment

Our thanks to the Park Rangers for help with some of the activities, to 29th Southampton (Immaculata) Scouts for use of facilities at the Scout Hut, and to the Co-op in City Gateway, Swaythling for their support with refreshments.

We'll also have a table (near the Hawthorns) for the final Urban Wild on the Common celebration on Sunday 1 June.
